Hey Guys and welcome to Mom in Vanhattan, a life style blog full of inspiration, DIY, entertaining and the adventures throughout motherhood!

My name is Brandie and my husband and I live in Vancouver BC in a little townhouse on the mountain with our two boys Jaxon and Luke.

Mom in Vanhattan was actually born in 2011 when our first son was born. My husband helped me come up with the name as I was a new mom living in the hustle and bustling city of Vancouver which was quickly growing and resembling life in Manhattan. Since my photography business, Brandie Coe Photography was taking off- I decided to hold off on a personal blog until I was ready. Fast forward to 2017 and now one more little boy that joined our tribe, my personal blog was still growing in my heart. I wanted to create a space where I share everything that is special to me.

When I was 11 years old I started a binder full of magazine clippings from DIY, inspiration and my dreams…. basically the old school Pinterest. Having given the Martha Stewart title in my close group of girl friends- entertaining, home decor and photography has certainly always been a BIG part of me. My family tells me stories about the time I was 6 and some how in the middle of the night moved all my furniture around in my room and they would come wake me in the morning to a whole new room layout. Or the time I took a Martha Stewart Christmas magazine home from my Grandma’s house and re-did our living room to resemble the styled room in the magazine.
